Upon Delivery --  Padgett Farm frozen meats should be placed in the freezer upon delivery.  Your shipment will contain a block of dry ice or an ice pack to keep products frozen during shipping.  If there is any dry ice left in the shipping container, be sure to avoid contact with your bare skin.  It is common for all of the dry ice or ice packs to have melted at the time of delivery, yet your products should still be frozen or chilled when you open the package.

Please be sure to thaw our frozen meats in the refrigerator, and never at room temperature or under hot water.  Occasionally the vacuum package will leak while the product is thawing due to small pin holes that can occur during freezing or shipping.  As long as the meat remained frozen and was refrigerated while thawing, this is not a concern.  Still, we recommend using a baking dish or pan to catch any leaks.
